SHAKIRA – IN THE $$$$$

Shakira has signed a lucrative “360-degree” deal with concert promoter Live Nation, her representative has confirmed.

The ten-year deal, rumoured to be worth between $70m and $100m will encompass tours, recordings, sponsorship and merchandise.

 It is the fourth “360-degree” deal that Live Nation has agreed since October, following similar agreements with Madonna, U2 and Jay-Z.

Shakira still owes three albums to her record label, Sony BMG, but all other aspects of the Live Nation deal are expected to take effect immediately.

The 31-year-old singer has sold more than 50 million records during her career, scoring UK No.1 singles with ‘Hips Don’t Lie’ and ‘Beautiful Liar’.

P.DIDDY – I WANT TO WORK WITH LEONA!!

P. Diddy has revealed that he wants to collaborate with Leona Lewis.

The rapper said he is impressed with Lewis’s vocal skills and hopes to work with her on his next LP.

He told an English newspaper: “I want that girl on my next album. I’m a huge fan. She has one of the best voices I’ve heard.

“Not only is she so, so beautiful, she has a great voice. She’s extremely talented and it’s great she’s from England.”

He added: “I had Christina Aguilera on my last album, but it’s all about Leona Lewis on my next.”

Diddy also revealed that he wants to do some charity work with Madonna and launch a fashion range with David Beckham.

DURAN DURAN – WE WANT MORE BOND!!

Duran Duran keyboardist Nick Rhodes has revealed that the group wants to record the theme song for the next James Bond movie.

The band recorded the title track to 1985’s A View To A Kill and hope Mark Ronson will work on the song with them.

Nick Rhodes has said “We’d love to collaborate with Mark on a single for the next Bond film… With him we may even surpass ‘A View To A Kill’.”

Shirley Bassey (’Goldfinger’, ‘Moonraker’, ‘Diamonds Are Forever’) is the only musical act to have performed more than one 007 theme song.

ALICIA KEYS – RETIRING IN 3 YEARS??

Alicia Keys has admitted that she is looking forward to taking an early retirement.

The 27-year-old singer confirmed that she could quit her music career in just three years’ time so she can concentrate on travelling.

“I am working hard now so I have the choice to retire when I want,” Keys said. “I would like to travel the world and stay in places instead of having to move on like I do now. I want to experience difference cultures.”

Keys has previously stated that she may eventually adopt a child after being inspired by Angelina Jolie.
