The link BELOW is the hilarious spoof of the song made just for Jordanians, by Humam Ammari and Nadim Masri!

Humam                     and   Nadim (yes, Humam gave us this funny picture of Nadim!)

Nadim Masri, a friend of Humam’s, came up with the idea to spoof “Rockstar” and came up with the lyrics. Humam also collaborated on the lyrics and decided to sing and play it. Raed Hamam was in charge of mixing and recording.

We caught up with Humam and Nadim, and asked them some questions about this spoof:

Maha: Did you expect it to spread around so quickly?

Humam and Nadim: No, we just sent it out to some friends. Next thing we know, people from abroad were asking us about SUBERSTAR!!

Maha: Will you do another song like that?

Nadim: Honestly, I don’t think so… but we’re planning to shoot a silly video for the song. We’ll post it on Youtube.

Humam: No… maybe… I don’t think so. Well, this is not my style, I write my own songs and you can check them out on www.play.jo/localtalents and www.raincrash.com.

CRAIG DAVID – MY FIRST ALBUM WAS PERFECT

Craig David has claimed that his chart-topping debut album had a “perfect formula”.

The R&B star said 2000’s Born To Do It contained exactly the right mix of tracks.

He told MTV News: “Looking back on the first album, I had the perfect formula. I was something new. Off the back of the garage movement I dropped ‘Fill Me In’, then the R&B crossover ‘7 Days’, then a ballad - ‘Walking Away’. With hindsight I had it locked.”

WILL SMITH – I PREFER MUSIC TO MOVIES

Will Smith has admitted that if he had to choose one career he would pick being a musician.

The Hollywood actor, who released hits in the 1990s including ‘Gettin Jiggy With It’, ‘Summertime’ and ‘Just The Two Of Us’, said nothing could equal the thrill of playing live gigs.

“I would have to choose music because there’s no feeling in the world like when you are on stage and that record hits that the audience has been waiting for,” he told Heart magazine.

“Nothing compares to that feeling. Nothing.”

However, Smith claimed that he wasn’t sure he could “support the family” if he gave up his acting work.

LEONA LEWIS - $2M PER APPEARNCE

Leona Lewis is being paid $2M million for personal appearances at parties, according to a report.

The singer’s asking price is said to have rocketed since the international success of her album Spirit.

“Leona is one of the most sought-after stars around,” a source told the a British newspaper “She has little say in the fee charged - big money sponsors literally name their fee and her management respond accordingly.

“She is adamant much of the profit goes straight back to her favourite charities.”

OASIS – NEW MUSIC SOON!!

Oasis have signed a three-album deal with Sony BMG.

The UK group’s Big Brother label will work in partnership with Sony using a profit share arrangement. Liam and Noel Gallagher’s first record with Sony BMG is expected to be released in October. The band’s last three records, Standing on the Shoulder of Giants, Heathen Chemistry and Don’t Believe The Truth, were released on their own label.

THE FREEMASONS – WE TURNED DOWN MADONNA!!

 
Freemasons have turned down the chance to work with Madonna. The DJs, who remixed Kelly Rowland’s single ‘Work’, were forced to reject Madonna because of their busy work schedule.

Freemasons DJ Russell Small said: “We turned down Madonna the other week, not because we wanted to, but because of a time issue.

“We’ve two more remixes to do and we’ve just co-produced a track for the Will Young album, so we just didn’t have time.

“And we want to make an album at the end of the summer, so we’re not taking on new material.”

BOYZONE –UNSURE OF COMEBACK SINGLE.

Boyzone are unsure whether to release a ballad or an upbeat track as their comeback single.

The reformed boyband want to release a song called ‘We Can’t Stop Thinking About You’, which they played on a recent reunion tour.

However, their label wants them to release a big ballad in the style of Take That’s comeback single ‘Patience’, according to an English newspaper!

MEL B – A SONG FOR EDDIE!!

Mel B has revealed that she has written a song about ex Eddie Murphy.

The former Spice Girl is still angry with Murphy for dumping her while she was pregnant and denying that 14-month-old Angel Iris was his.

She told New Magazine!: “He never bothers with his daughter. I mean, what kind of man is that?”

She added that the actor’s lawyers will be “vetting the lyrics closely” to ensure she does not make any statements which could be considered slander.

The song will feature on her forthcoming album, which also includes collaborations with Janet Jackson and Missy Elliot.
