Dean Obeidallah and Maysoon Zayid- Comedy Show
Want something new to laugh about? Remember the last Axis of Evil show we had? Or if you missed it, then now is your chance! We’re bringing in another comedy show in August, with two of the funniest Arab-American comedians around.
Dean Obeidallah is the fourth guy from the Axis of Evil group, and he didn’t come with the rest of the guys earlier this year (Maz Jobrani, Ahmed Ahmed, and Aaron Kader). But he’s coming now, and we can’t wait to see what he’s going to say this time…
He’s also bringing with him Maysoon Zayid, who is one of the funniest Arab-American comedians as well, she was in the movie “Don’t Mess with the Zohan” recently, and we’re pretty excited to see what she’s got to say.
If you want your tickets to this, then call 0796 300 996. Tickets are 35 JDs and once they’re gone, they’re gone, so get them early! The event will be held August 11 and 12th , 2008, at 9 pm, at the Courtyard in the AlQasr Metropole Hotel.

Hey there… yesterday i attended the show with my hubby and i really loved it and enjoyed it big time. We really should be proud of having such Arab American comedians. Maysoon was hilarious, audacious, frank and worthy of all respect a person can give. i really admired the fact that she is dealing with her cerebral palsy and instead of being consumed by the idea of being a bit disabled, she used it for her own advantage. Dean was amazing, i sensed a level of maturity in his performance, he manged to be funny and refined at the same time, i don’t know how he does this but he is one of a kind. i was disappointed with Aaron though, and i found it a bit insulting that he forgot the name of the famous poet Mahmoud Darwaish who he was tryingh to Commemorate. this is what i sensed when he called the guy and whispered in his ears and then he went back to stage and said his name pronopuncing the “ha’a” in his name as a “kha’a”. anyway play.fm for such a great chance. i had a blast, laughing was really like a healing process especially withall the stress and pressure we face everyday. I didn’t get to attend AXIS OF EVIL in Novemebr i had just deliveredmy baby girl then and so this was a good compensation for what i misses.
Keep up the good work guys.
p.s it was great getting to see his Majesty
