“Nour” taking Jordan by storm?
What are your thoughts on this Turkish soap opera? For some reason, every single person in Jordan seems to know about it or watch it, and you can’t get ten people in one room together in Jordan, anywhere, and not have them bring up the topic! The girls all love “Muhannad,” and say he’s gorgeous! Is that the reason that this show is so popular?

Personally, I don’t watch the show…but however…my seven year old sister has become obsessed with the show and will shut everyone in the family up when it’s on MBC 4…I can see where its kinda interesting…I have noticed that there is good story plot…but the only thing that worries me is that it is a soap opera…a show that goes on FOREVERRRRRRRR! Will there be no end to Noor-Mania!

in my opinion that this show dont deserve. btw in turkey this show didnt success, it was becouse there is no story in this show.

well the show sucks the plot is really weak and overall the show depends on cloths good looking actors/ actresses and great scenraies to make it look good its the most ridiculous totally prdecitable show i have ever seen and i only watched 3 episodes the only advantage is that the whole family sits and see it so it kinda brings families together.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything as bad as Noor on TV until now…I have no idea why it’s become so popular and I’m pretty certain that in Turkey it was a failure. It just proves that Arabs will watch and get addicted to anything no matter how boring or bad it is. Another thing is that Muhannad is NOT hot at all…infact he is the worst actor I’ve seen.

I can’t imagine how such as silly t.v series to magic the minds of the people,i watched various episodes from ‘noor’ because everybody is taking about,honestly i didn’t see any close events and the characterization of noor really under level to watch;furthermore,the antagonists interactions with the actions are in very familiar way not in that professional,but most ppl likes “noor” because they have nothing worth to do.
I invite everybody loves noor and thinks it’s a romance thing just take a look at Shakespeare’s ’sonnet 130′ and see the real romance stuff.

Noor is a ridiculous TV show that got everyone addicted because of the good looking cast and the beautiful scenes it’s taken in. I started watching Noor because of how my friends got me bored of talking about it, but I still don’t watch it regularly. I admit that Muhannad is good looking but in my opinion it’s not a convincing reason to start watching the show.
In conclusion, people just watch it to fill their time because obviously they have nothing else to do.

I absolutely love this show!!! I am mesmerized with Muhanned. He is gorgeous. Wish he would come to Canada!!

its a matter of perfection..whether in shooting ..( the colors)..the angles and scenes..facial expressions and variety of personalities..
in clothing..decorations..to make everything well sound perfect..and the two main icons..actor mohannad and actress noor…they are good looking..fit together..quiet and represent romance in its best forms..
we all have free time and sort of bored of american shows..
so here comes the turkish ppl who look like us and have some shared values with us..
the plot is for sure weak as in any other long soap opera..
and may i say that even lil girls watch it..wow..this is serious..
